LORD, I am prepared to do some serious thinking but I need Your counsel and guidance so that I can, in all honesty critically evaluate the values of my culture, my own lifestyle, and all my attitudes.
FATHER GOD, I do want to submit the values of my cultural heritage, my lifestyle and all my attitudes to the scrutiny of your grace and judgment. To do this I need you to strengthen my heart and mind so that I can hear what you are telling me and see what you are showing me through Your Word and every experience.
LORD, I do want to analyze the critical issues and hammer out informed responses based on God’s Standards, but to do this I need You to help me to be still, and quieten my mind, to sort out and order priorities.
GRANT me the gifts of critical thinking, and the ability to analyze both objective and subjective information and behaviors, and to present my responses with grace and wisdom.
FATHER I do want to expand my horizons to develop and embrace Christ-like-practice in every area of my life and thought and I bring my imagination and all my skills to You.
PLEASE refine them and show me how best to use them to Your glory and the good of every patient and person who comes to me in need.
LORD JESUS CHRIST I do want to approach every aspect of my work, all that I say and do, whether it is in the home, hospital, or community, as if I am doing it just for you, therefore, I need to learn how to use your wisdom.
PLEASE LIFT my thinking to “let the MIND of Christ dwell in me richly”.
FATHER GOD, I do want to become more mature in my faith and commitment to You. To be more faithful and wise in the work You have entrusted to me, and in responding to the constant challenges that face me, no matter where I am in this world.
To do this I need to understand more deeply what unconditional love is. I need and want to learn how to love You more fully with my whole heart, mind, soul and strength. For only then will I be able to truly love myself and care for others, with Your love and compassion. ALL whom You bring to me in the course of each day.
How GREAT, is He who loved us and gave Himself for us,
that we might come, and bring others,
to the Throne of Grace
where our horizons are expanded and
our faith deepened as our whole life becomes
an offering of thanksgiving to God.
Rejoice in the LORD
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
The peace of God which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
