Singing When The Chips are Down

What is behind the songs Nurses and Midwives and our family’s sing?
Have you ever thought of the lives of some of the Authors?
What lasting effect does each song have in your life?
What kind of emotions are stimulated?
How does popular music and singing influence all peoples in ‘THIS Age of communication
confusion, depression, mental ill health, burnout and suicide?

Did you know you are precious in God’s sight, as you read and sing these encouraging words by Steve Green based on the assurance of God’s word in Philippians 1:6

“being confident of this very thing
that He who began a good work in you will complete
it until the day of Jesus Christ”

He who began a good work in you
He who began a good work in you
Will be faithful to complete it
He’ll be faithful to complete it
He who started the work
Will be faithful to complete it in you
If the struggle you’re facing
Is slowly replacing
Your hope with despair
Or the process is long
And you’re losing your song
In the night you can be sure
That the Lord has His hand on you
Safe and secure
He will never abandon you
You are His treasure
And He finds His pleasure in you.

SING and REJOICE as you thank the Almighty Sovereign God for the joy of being His Treasure and for the confidence He gives you to continue against all odds to be a truly effective Nurse or Midwife; spouse and parent; member of your community and nation.
