FRAGRANCE and COMPASSION
It was a joy to hear of the commitment and work in progress with previously neglected children with a short video of the children against the background of their home. The surrounding area for outdoor activity tells its own story.
Bringing fragrance and compassion into the lives of these young children does not end here: Mrs Kiranmai Gathram outlines plans to fulfil the need for a “Happy Old Age Home” for 20 neglected destitute elderly women, from different villages in Sattenapalli, Guntur- District, of Andhra Pradesh, India.
Shelter and care in a clean wholesome place when you are too young or too old to care for yourself, when family or friends are, for what so ever reason, absent, exposes the tragic facts of life in a world gone a stray with brokenness.
I well remember a Nurse Administrator stating: “If you can’t nurse the elderly and the young you are useless as a Nurse” How can we help in this situation? God in His great love, mercy and grace has put the spark and flame of compassion into men and women like Mrs Kiranmai Gathram who has taken and used this priceless gift to bring God’s Love and justness into rejected lives,
This brings a fresh challenge to every Nurse and Midwife and Health Worker, to SEEK diligently to KNOW God’s Will and the courage to DO IT so that the fragrance of Christ will not only penetrate and permeate our own life but will infuse the lives of those we are privileged to meet and work with: 2 Corinthians 2:14-15 NKJV Can you? Can I? SAY WITH CONFIDENCE:
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ,
And through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved
And among those who are perishing.”
While funding is not a part of NWAD Deed of Commitment we do recognize the need by searching out and applying Biblical principles to each situation.
Will you join with us in Prayer for Mrs Kiranmai Gathram based on Deuteronomy Chapter 28:8
“The LORD will command the blessing on …all to which you set your hand”
