The Relevance of the Power of God’s Grace to Nurses and Nursing

The theme for this power point took shape during discussions with many Nurse Administrators as well as with small groups of indigenous and migrating Nurses.

It came to fruition when Nurses recently returned from ICN and an outstanding workshop in USA, were discussing the tragic situation of many Nurses migrating to New Zealand including a large number of Indian Nurses significantly from India, Fiji, and the African Countries, in conjunction with some of the many general and specific factors that are causing worldwide concerns

First in New Zealand by an indigenous Kiwi, mature 2nd year student from a prestigious Nursing program in Manakau who is also the mother of four lovely children. This student repeatedly commented with wonder ‘I don’t know’ and finally said ‘everytime the words ‘Relevance to Nurses and Nursing’ came I found myself becoming very alert and interested’, ‘I have gained much thank you’.

Second in India a first year Staff Nurse went through each slide with obvious eagerness asking clarification 3 times with only once having partial understanding. At the end her comment, ‘I’m so pleased now I know how I can use this and share it with my
