Each Nurse who claims to be ‘Christian’
Each Nurse born into a ‘Christian home’
Each Nurse born into a ‘Hindu family’
Each Nurse born into a ‘Muslim family’
Each Nurse born into a ‘Buddhist family’
Each Nurse born into a ‘Sikh family’
Each Nurse who is born into a ‘Jewish family’
Each Nurse who claims to be a ‘Communist’, a Rationalist, an Atheist, a Liberalist, a Christian Scientist, Nurses of every persuasion…
Each Nurse who …. No matter what she/he believes in, has a responsibility to her/himself, while not neglecting other holy books such as the Koran, the Bhagavad Gita, the Ad Granth and other religious writings, to ask God to reveal the truth about the Bible, as well as in whatever else they are reading.
Given that Nurses must care for people of all faiths, then we must consciously and prayerfully search out the truths that God wants each one to have, in order to more effectively live in this world, and to care for people of all nations, religions, castes and creeds, without becoming burned out.
God has planted His truth in this world for our edification and blessing. He has given us the freedom and ability to knock, to seek, to find, and then to appropriate His truth in the practice of our profession and of daily living.
He has given each Nurse the ability to read in order to make informed and wise choices, for his/her own personal life, family life and professional responsibilities.
