| Relevance for Nurses |
Prayer comes from the Holy Spirit challenging our thinking. |
| Let us take note and |
Pray: |
| The Past |
LORD of our past, we thank You for those Nurses who, in obedience to Your counsel, have founded and developed the Nursing Profession in each country, and have brought us into a worldwide fellowship significantly through ICN, WHO and NCFI. |
| The Present |
LORD of our present, we thank you for the unifying, healing and restoring effect of God’s plan for each Nurse, all our families and each patient/client we seek to help so clearly expressed in the Bible and New Testament made available through Gideon’s International and the Bible Society in each of our Countries.
Request – Please help us to receive these resources and to let You, the Living God help us understand better, just how to draw on all the wisdom and intervening power for truth, goodwill and blessing in our everyday practice of Nursing, in ongoing research and education in Nursing, that You have in store for us. |
| The Future |
LORD of our future, we thank You for hope that is sure and certain, where ever we work, anywhere and everywhere in this world, in remote, or barren or fruitful circumstances, that our contribution to the health of peoples is not in vain, because You have promised never to leave us, nor to forsake us, and Your word will not fall short of what You plan for each one of us.
Lord Jesus Christ teach us how to:
pray
be always alert pray
be always earnest in prayer.
live each day with You.
|
| May we take strength from Your blessing and protection of past days.
May we work together in the unity of the Holy Spirit with one heart and mind in these days.
May we renew our vision of Your plan through Nursing to strive for a future day when all nations will live under the blessing and direction of Your Word.
|
| In the name of God the Father who sustains us, God the Son who heals us, and God the Holy Spirit who inspires us, AMEN |
